Safety and Security declarations for EU to UK Imports

Obligatory Logistics Envelope (EOL)

ELO is the new mandatory procedure for goods moving from UK to France. This process saves time and friction at the French border by allowing references for multiple documents to be placed into one “envelope

Green lane / Orange lane

Much like the NI border with the UK, France use a green lane and red lane process. The ELO will determine which lane the haulier must use and the driver can view the status of the vehicle on the display screens.

The French authorities conduct a risk analysis for each vehicle. Those requested to enter the green lane will be cleared to go. Those requested to enter the orange lane will undergo further checks at a customs office, at the first point of entry.
