Straight freight forwarding and customs clearance services for UK shipping containers.
For a shipping container, we arrange and manage transport, clearance and the shipping line on your behalf. We often manage 40′ HC containers from China, India and Brazil as well as tank containers from Iceland, Norway, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany.
Containers commonly come in 20 ft and 40 ft sizes. While there are a number of container ports in the UK, we prefer to move goods through Grangemouth, Teesport, Immingham and Felixstowe depending on the final destination.
For palletised goods, cartons, bagged and small bulk cargo, shipping container is often the best choice however, Sea Freight is a time-bound movement that contains many moving parts that must line up at the right moment to avoid additional costs and delay. A freight forwarder can manage each step in the process on your behalf.
For 20 ft containers, you can manage approx. 10 pallets on 1 tier. For 40 ft containers, you can expect to fit about 20 pallets on one tier. If your pallets are stackable, you may be able to increase tiers to fit however a full assessment for safety and security should be carried out to ensure the load does not shift in transit, remains within the weight limitations and remains safe to unload.
Most types of liquid can go into a tank container. The most common being oil such as soya oil or fish oil – to more interesting commodities such as Champagne and other alcoholic products. You can reasonably expect to fit 20,000 kg of liquid inside the unit.
