Railing the container to Coatbridge, delivering in Dundee and returning the empty container to Coatbridge to catch the train back to Felixstowe can make a saving of up to 23%.

Emissions

We’re here to help you decrease emissions whilst increasing supply chain efficiency. Through strategic network planning and cost-efficient routing, we work to drive down your costs and your environmental footprint.

A quick example: 1x40HC Felixstowe to Dundee 20000kg.

By road 1593kg CO₂e
By rail 695.5kg CO₂e

Key Detail to Consider

Every shipping line has its own free time at the quay, so it is important to understand how much time you have and make sure your container is collected within this period.
To avoid unnecessary storage or demurrage charges, your goods will generally need to be customs cleared and released before the container can be collected from the port. Make sure you have the necessary documentation ready, including your commercial invoice and packing list.
Depending on your cargo, additional documents such as licences, certificates or proof of origin may also be required.

If you are unsure what documentation is required for your shipment, please get in touch. Our team will be happy to guide you through the customs clearance process and help ensure your goods are ready for collection.
